A Golden Age

It's a book that inspires, paints vivid pictures & scenarios in your imagination. You could feel the characters before your eyes with your mind. You could witness what happened 40 years ago that was written down with mere words right where you are.

It was Sunday, she sat reading a book, "A Golden Age" while waiting for time to pass. As she read, she became aware of what war in her own country would mean. It's an absurd idea that any country would want to wage war with her country, but in these last days, she's not sure any more. Once, she wouldn't mind, she even look forward to confinement like that of Anne Frank. This time, fear gripped her heart, she felt overwhelmed, sad, at the tragic & struggles that the country in the book had to face. It wasn't non-fiction but it wasn't fiction either. Perhaps it's because of the solemn tune that was played, a 'contribution' to what she was feeling at that moment. She couldn't continue reading anymore. Enough! For this day.

But nothing can beat "Last Night I Dream of Peace". She would have war nightmares then.

P.s. play with words turns me on. that's why my tumblr-inspiringgobbledygook, exist. =)
p.s.s. Intro of "Oceans Will Part" ; Hillsong
